Inspiration isn’t always easy to find. Artists go to Pinterest or Instagram to find things that inspire, but what about design museums? Cooper Hewitt Collect wants to change that. An app that stores the extensive database of the Cooper Hewitt design museum, located in New York City. Collect is an easy to navigate app where the user can like or dislike designs located in the database and “collect” them. With every like and dislike, the app starts to better understand the user and begins to recommend them pieces to learn about and be inspired by. The “Immersion Room”, an experience at the actual museum that takes textiles and digitally projects them onto visitors, is a replicated AR feature in the app, a fun experience that any user can enjoy.
